American Indian Wellness Initiative

Ken Lingad · Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico, USA

Born and raised on an Indian reservation by his Grandfather who remains a well-respected leader across American Indian Country long after his passing, Ken's insight on Indian affairs and generational poverty was forged at kitchen tables and sacred spaces with Tribal leaders from far and away since he was a child.

Through the lens of his lived experience, Ken's rare command of both capital deployment and cultural stewardship makes him uniquely equipped to direct philanthropic investment toward outcomes that are durable, sovereign-respecting, and community-owned.

We are currently seeking funding for the following:

  • Development of a Financial Literacy for Career Pathways program for members of distressed and underserved Tribal communities, tailored to individual cultural perspectives and learning style
  • Language and Cultural Preservation programs rooted in Native American lifeways, indigenous knowledge and medicine, and arts
  • Development of an accessible, nationwide program that helps underserved Tribal communities chart and navigate their own course for Economic Development as a truly sovereign entity: Housing, Healthcare, and Enterprise
